SML are working exclusively with a global manufacturing organisation to support the recruitment of Health and Safety Advisor into an exciting new role.

The newly created position will help the organisation to have an engaging and pro-active approach to the management of Health and Safety across the business, while supporting the Health & Safety Manager with the continued development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and carry out site inspections and site audits.
  • Onsite incident investigation.
  • Update, review and communicate risk assessments.
  • Develop and deliver training courses.
  • Co-ordinate improvement projects.
  • Support the development of culture change through positive engagement / coaching.
  • Deputise for the H&S Manager where required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Hold the NEBOSH Certificate
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment
  • Maintain a hands-on approach – the ability to build working relationships is vital
  • Work independently
  • Full UK driving licence
